As far as saving money on your wedding goes there are lots of tips out there for the wedding specifics. Wedding costs can be high so anything you can do to bring it down helps (and means more money for you and your spouse in the future). You can save money on your wedding dress and your wedding flowers, but if you budget still can’t handle financing a wedding then you do have another option… changing your wedding date.

Changing your wedding date can save you money in two ways.

Hosting a wedding during the off-season means you will get many of the higher ticket items for much less. Your reception venues, DJ, and even the photographer will be willing to work a better deal with you if you need them at a time when work is slow.

Postponing the date of your wedding gives you more time to save. I’m not saying that you need to postpone it years, but if you need to finance parts of your wedding then you will save a lot of money by simply waiting until you can pay with cash. Take on a short-term part-time job if you have to and your future financial situation will be thank you.

What a good piece of advice! It wouldn’t have been something I’d thought on!
