usborneDeana is sponsoring $20 in Usborne children’s books for the Budget a Wedding launch. If any of you have not heard of Usborne before then you are in for a treat! The stated mission of Usborne books is to “deliver educational excellence one book at a time while providing financial opportunities that foster strong family values.”

Around Christmas time I had the pleasure of advertising for and hosting a review/giveaway for Usborne on my other blog and let me tell you, the books were wonderful and the deals were easy to find. The website is categorized by both age and topic.

Right now if you purchase over $85 in books you will get an additional $15 for free. There is also a monthly drawing to win $50 in books. Be sure to also check out the closeouts and internet only specials. You can save 40-70% in those sections.

The income opportunity is great for a home business. I am an entrepreneur at heart. I’ve sold on ebay, been a mystery shopper, sold with Avon, and I have two blogs. Then there is my full time job. It is all about finding what works for you. The freedom of being able to work for yourself is worth the searching it takes to get there. Finding a home business opportunity can be a way to get your feet wet in starting your own business or a way to forge yourself a career that allows you to stay at home. It is also a way for a stay at home mom to stay social. Generally home businesses have meetings with other reps from your area and of course you will attend parties made for your business.

Consultants with Usborne earn 25% of their home show sales (an average of $75-$125 for a two or three hour show). You can also earn bonuses if you hit certain limits in a month or if you become a supervisor. How far you go is up to you.

Deana is giving away $20 in Usborne books to a lucky reader! Everybody who enters on the Budget a Wedding launch page gets entries into every giveaway (there are 13 ways to enter!) You can also gain extra entries by entering on this page by doing one or all of the following:

  • Go to Usborne and let me know what book looks the most intriguing to you
  • Follow Budget a Wedding on Twitter
  • Promote this post with a blog entry, forum entry, facebook post, stumble, or twitter (up to 5 entries)
  • Post the Budget a Wedding button on your blog

Good luck!
